Through feast or famine, and flood or fire;
God’s ‘steadfast love’ gets higher and higher.
Jesus fulfilled His Father’s desire;
Right up to the Cross He did not tire.
The Lord Jesus is our Hope Supplier;
Let His ‘unfailing love’ for us inspire.

Let’s stop speaking things that are harmful;
And choose ‘good’ words that are more helpful.
The words ‘It is finished’ were faithful;
Our Saviour was brave and not fearful.

While ‘building up’ folks with words graceful.

When our hopes dim, some people will mock;
Run to the Lord, cause He is our ‘Rock’.
Hannah was teased, became laughing-stock;
Then ‘holy’ ‘Lord’ removed stumbling block.
The ‘Good Shepherd’ ‘leads’ His own flock;
And will help us, all day round the clock.
